A restored homestead on a 20-hectare working farm in Erasmus Park, with a history tied to the family of Pretoria's Erasmus Castle
About the Property
The Rasmus is a guest house set on a 20-hectare working farm at Historic Farm Waterkloof in Erasmus Park, Pretoria — close enough to town to be roughly 10 minutes from the Pretoria CBD and 20 minutes from OR Tambo International Airport, yet built around a restored homestead the property says carries "a rich lineage directly connected to the illustrious Erasmus Family," former owners of Pretoria's Erasmus Castle.
Six room and suite types are spread across the main homestead and separate buildings, from a Presidential Suite with its own KolKol hot tub and garden-view balcony down to Luxury, Superior and Executive Rooms that each include breakfast, air conditioning, DStv and a private balcony. The working farm itself is part of the draw: sheep and cattle graze the grounds, and the property describes its Koi pond as one of the largest in South Africa, alongside rose gardens and a waterfall feature.
Ramona's Bespoke Restaurant, open to outside diners as well as guests, runs on a slow-food philosophy with produce grown in the property's own garden, and The Rasmus also hosts weddings and private functions on-site.
