Lancer’s Inn Hotel, Maseru

Lancer's Inn Hotel stands in central Maseru, on the corner of Kingsway and Pioneer Road. The hotel's own website calls it a "Gateway to the Mountain Kingdom". It also places it less than 5 km from the Roof of Africa and close to the Moshoeshoe Statue and nearby malls.

The hotel's website dates it to the 19th century and says it is named after 39 British Lancers killed during the Gun War. It began as a boarding house established by Mrs. Sterley, which later merged with Lacey's Hotel. That history gives the place more character than a typical city-centre stop.

You can choose between Standard Rooms, a Rondavel Standard Room (Room 37) and Self-Catering Chalets (18 and 39). On site there is a restaurant, a bar, the Luxe Spa with couple massage, a family-friendly pool, and halls for conferences and events. Airport transfer is included in some packages.
