About the Property
Thamalakane River Lodge sits on the Thamalakane River, about 19 km from Maun on the road towards Moremi Game Reserve. It is roughly a 20-minute drive from Maun Airport. Guests arrive by self-drive or by fly-and-transfer. The lodge presents itself as a gateway to the Okavango Delta and Moremi, and Expert Africa describes it as suited to a one-night stopover before or after a safari.
Accommodation is in stone-and-thatch chalets. Most are Babbler chalets with river views. There are also two Kingfisher family rooms and a Lilac-breasted Roller honeymoon suite with its own plunge pool. Chalets have fans, mosquito nets and tea and coffee facilities.
