About the Property
Khaya Ndlovu Safari Manor sits on the 5,500-hectare Rietspruit Big 5 Game Reserve near Hoedspruit, a gateway to the Greater Kruger. Accommodation runs across six suite and tent types — from the 54 m² Leadwood Honeymoon Suite with its jacuzzi bath, to the two-bedroom Acacia Family Suite and a pair of glamping tents with freestanding bathtubs on their own decks.
The reserve is home to Africa's so-called Super 7, including black and white rhino, elephant, lion, leopard, cheetah, hyena and African wild dog — among them rehabilitated orphan rhinos from the Rhino Revolution programme, some of which have gone on to breed in the wild. Open-vehicle Big 5 safaris and bush walks run directly from the manor, alongside an open-air spa built over the reserve's own waterhole.
Beyond the reserve, the lodge arranges full-day Kruger National Park safaris, helicopter flights over the bushveld and Blyde River Canyon, Panorama Route bus tours to Bourke's Luck Potholes and God's Window, and a boat cruise to the Kadishi Tufa waterfall.
