About the Property
Gorgeous George occupies restored heritage buildings on St George's Mall, the pedestrianised street running through Cape Town's city centre, and is the first Design Hotels™ member in the city. Its rooms mix raw, exposed concrete and steelwork with Victorian-era detailing, along with hand-painted wall art by local artist David Brits and furnishings curated from local and international designers.
Accommodation ranges from 32m² Studios up to the Penthouse, known as "9th on George," a three-bedroom suite with a freestanding bath, two balconies and its own kitchen. Every room has an extra-length king (or king-plus-queen, in the 2-Bedroom Suite) bed configuration and Smart TVs.
On the rooftop, Gigi serves modern classic dishes and cocktails with city views and can host up to 100 guests for events, while the hotel also arranges in-room spa treatments, airport transfers and guided tours for guests exploring the CBD.
