About the Property

Lesotho's First Five-Star Ecolodge Inside Ts'ehlanyane National Park

Updated 17 October 2026.

Maliba Mountain Lodge sits inside Ts'ehlanyane National Park in Leribe District, in Lesotho's northern Maluti Mountains, at 2,030 m above sea level (lodge figure). It is marketed as Lesotho's first and only five-star ecolodge, and it has four kinds of rooms for different budgets: five-star Mountain Lodge rooms, four-bedroom River Lodge self-catering houses, traditional Riverside Huts and budget Mountainside Economy rooms. Rates, meals and room details below come from the lodge's 2026 rate sheets (checked 16 Oct 2026).

The five-star rooms have an open fireplace, a luxury bath, electric blankets and a private veranda; the newest of them have a private patio with closer mountain views instead of a deck. Breakfast is included only in these rooms.

The lodge runs on Starlink WiFi and 24/7 security, and offers a restaurant and bar, spa and massage treatments, and a wedding and conference venue. It is a base for hiking, horse riding, birdwatching, 4x4 driving, archery, community visits and dinosaur footprint tours, and hosts the Lesotho Ultra Trail. The lodge supports the Maliba Community Trust, which focuses on employment and skills development for people living around the park.
