Mlilwane Wildlife Sanctuary Rest Camp, Lobamba

Mlilwane Wildlife Sanctuary Rest Camp sits inside Mlilwane Wildlife Sanctuary at Lobamba, at the end of the Ezulwini Valley. It is run through Big Game Parks, which takes bookings by email at [email protected]. The camp has 33 rooms in all, in a mix of beehive huts, self-catering rondavels, a family cottage and camping.

The sanctuary has no predators or dangerous game, so the wildlife around the camp is impala, warthog, nyala and zebra. Hippo and crocodile can be seen from Hippo Haunt Restaurant, which overlooks the hippo pool. One guest on Trip.com wrote of 'enchanting wildlife' roaming around the rooms.

Choose en-suite beehive huts, Lontweni rondavels with a kitchenette and private braai area, the six-sleeper Shonalanga Family Cottage, or a campsite. On site there is a swimming pool, a children's play area, braai zones with summerhouses and an interpretation centre. Activities include sunrise, sunset and Roan game drives, mountain biking, horse riding, guided walks, village walks and 13+ hiking trails.
