Motswari Private Game Reserve

Motswari Private Game Reserve is a 15-room bush camp on the Sohobele riverbed inside the 18,000-hectare Timbavati Private Nature Reserve, part of the Greater Kruger and roughly 70 km from Hoedspruit Airport. Rooms are split between Bush Bungalows, tucked into natural vegetation, and River Facing Bungalows, where the private deck looks straight onto the riverbed — guests have watched elephants drinking from the waterhole without leaving their verandah.

Rates cover twice-daily game drives, guided bush walks and a run of house drinks, from local beers to standard spirits. Meals move between a breakfast veranda, an open-air boma lit by lanterns and fire, and bush dining venues, with the day built around brunch, high tea and dinner.

For something different, the camp's Giraffe's Nest sleep-out puts guests under the stars about ten minutes from Main Camp, alongside a pool overlooking the river, an on-site library and art gallery, and two bars for evening drinks.
