About the Property
Nokanyana, meaning 'Little River', is run by Roots & Journeys, a Maun-based safari operator. The camp has 10 rooms: 7 luxury tented rooms and 3 family units. It sits where the Khwai and Mababe Rivers meet, 127 km from Maun, at the eastern edge of the Okavango Delta.
Days centre on game drives in Khwai and the Mababe Depression, where lions, leopards, wild dogs and sable are seen. Guided bush walks and birding are also on offer, including the 'Raptor Alley' stretch of river. Full-day trips with a picnic lunch go to Moremi, Savute and Chobe. Between outings you can watch for game from the room decks and the pool, or sit at the fire pit and in The Hub, the main area.
The rate is per person sharing and includes accommodation, activities, meals, non-premium drinks and airstrip transfers. Guests usually fly from Maun to Khwai Airstrip in about 35 minutes.
