About the Property
Pablo House is a boutique art hotel in Melville, overlooking the Melville Koppies Nature Reserve with elevated views across Johannesburg and close to Melville's 7th Street entertainment strip. The property pairs eight guest rooms and a separate, exclusive-use three-bedroom villa with an on-site gallery, Gallery Nights Art, that rotates exhibitions of emerging South African artists — currently Candice Berman's 'Boundless' — and sells the pieces on display.
Rooms range from Standard and Superior Double rooms to Deluxe Twin rooms and a Deluxe Loft Penthouse with its own private terrace facing the Koppies; the standalone Pablo House Villa adds a private lounge, fireplace, bar and en-suite sauna. Every standard room comes with a king bed (or twin option), an ensuite bathroom with a rain shower, a bar fridge, a Nespresso machine and a smart TV. On-site dining runs through Dos Manos Restaurant, serving locally-sourced dishes indoors and on an outdoor patio, with a bar for sunset cocktails and complimentary welcome drinks on arrival.
Guests also have access to in-room spa treatments — massages, facials and nail services — plus concierge-arranged half and full-day tours to the Cradle of Humankind, Pilanesberg, Soweto, Maboneng and Johannesburg's CBD heritage sites, from R2,100 per half day. Check-in is from 15:00 and check-out before 11:00, with free on-site parking under 24-hour security.
