River View Lodge, Kazungula (Chobe)

River View Lodge stands on the banks of the lower Chobe River at Plot 5824, Kwena Road, Kazungula, in Botswana's Chobe District. It works as a base for Chobe National Park and for day trips to Victoria Falls.

There are five unit types: twin rooms, double chalets, a deluxe double chalet, family chalets and a private home. The rooms and chalets are en-suite, with air conditioning, a ceiling fan, a refreshment station and a private verandah. The private home has one or two bedrooms, a full kitchen, a lounge and dining area and a covered deck facing the river. The grounds also have an outdoor pool with a poolside bar, and the restaurant looks over the Chobe River.

What sets the lodge apart is how much it arranges itself. It runs game drives into Chobe National Park and boat cruises on the Chobe River with its own guides and equipment. It also organises Victoria Falls day trips. Fully inclusive packages add a 3-hour morning game drive and a 3-hour afternoon boat cruise every day.
