About the Property
Operated by Perch Short Stays under the name WEX1, this property occupies the old Stock Exchange building on Albert Road in Woodstock, in the heart of what the operator calls Cape Town's creative district. Studio and one-bedroom apartments are built for one or two adults, each with an open-plan kitchen and living area and a glass-partitioned sleeping area around a queen-sized bed.
Interiors were done out in urban or jungle themes by an award-winning interior designer, using furniture sourced from local Woodstock craftspeople. The building itself does the heavy lifting on facilities: a fourth-floor pool deck with a bar, a gym, pool and foosball tables, a co-working space, and three restaurants, a supermarket, an ATM and a bottle store at ground level — all minutes from the N1 freeway and close to the Woodstock Exchange and the Old Biscuit Mill.
